An extensive 60-day cruise through the Australian Coast is being halted in the wake of the tragic passing of an senior female passenger who was abandoned by the cruise liner on a isolated island.

The elderly woman had been walking on the tropical location with fellow passengers from the cruise ship, but separated from the excursion for a pause. The liner left without her and went back later that day after the personnel became aware the passenger was not present.

A large-scale rescue mission found her person the subsequent day.

Investigative bodies are examining the tragedy, alongside law enforcement and the medical examiner.

The CEO of the cruise operator stated that travelers and personnel on the vessel were informed that the rest of the cruise had been called off due to the "sad loss and prior mechanical issues".

Relatives Statement

The daughter of the deceased woman said that her family was "shocked and grieved that the vessel left the location after an scheduled tour without my mum".

Through her comments, she characterized her mother as an "vigorous elderly person" who was a member of a hiking club.

"From the little information we have been told, it appears that there was a lapse of responsibility and common sense," she said.

She further stated that she desired the investigation would be able to identify what "the organization should have done that might have preserved Mother's life".

"We understand from the investigators that it was a very hot afternoon, and she took sick on the hill climb," she revealed.
